Lapland: modern Finnish wooden house
This log house is a great example of how a unique internal space can be created inside a medium-sized wooden house. The space is used very efficiently and the internal areas are very compact, allowing for great functionality. First floor features a joint kitchen-dining room, a living room with a fireplace, big windows and high ceiling, sauna, shower, rest-room and a small guest room! There are two terraces on opposite facades of the house, allowing for enough space for placing outside furniture and barbeque, for example. Going upstairs, there is a comfortable hall / living room with entrace into a loggia, as well as two rather spacious bedrooms, toilet and shower cabin. Velux mansard windows can be built into the roof of the house, giving extra light to the second floor and making the interiors more interesting. The walls of this wooden house are made of laminated log with section of 204 x 220 mm.
