Two new houses constructed in Austria

New Rovaniemi Log house built in Johnbach, Austria
In Summer 2015 not one, but two Aito log houses were constructed in a mountain village of Johnbach, Austria.

New log houses are being built by Finnland Block, a Aito representative in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia and Italy. The houses will provide home for two young local families. One house project under the name of Xeis is an individually planned log house with 190 m2 of living space, standing on a partial basement. It is built out of rectangular laminated pine logs with thickness of 27 cm. A particular feature of this house is a separate hobby / music room with an almost flat roof, providing an inspiring view to the surroundings.

The second house belongs to the Triebental project and is constructed out of 23 cm thick glued round log. Situated only a hundred meters away from its bigger brother, Triebental sits on a stress-laminated deck plate basement and provides a comfortable living area of almost 100 m2.

The foundations of the houses were completed late 2014, and early 2015 two log house packages arrived from Finnish Lapland. By the Summer 2015 the houses will be ready for living. Potential clients, interested in buying a Finnish log house, will be able to visit the houses, as well as smell the scent of the freshly cut Lappish pine!
